Woodlawn Academy for the Performing Arts & Birdies for Charity

Woodlawn Academy for the Performing Arts is taking part in the Valero's Birdies for Charity this year, a fundraising program that gives local nonprofits the opportunity to generate contributions through the Valero Texas Open. Make a donation or pledge through Birdies for Charity and 100% will go back to The Woodlawn Academy for the Performing Arts. The Valero Texas Open will also match an additional 7%!

So, how does it work?

You simply make a pledge for every birdie made at the Valero Texas Open scheduled to take place from April 16th through April 22nd. Donors can also make a one-time donation and can either pay in advance or be billed once the tournament is completed.

What is a birdie?

A “birdie” is one stroke under par for a hole, the normal expected score on any given hole.

How much should I pledge?

That all depends. Keep in mind, in 2017, there were 1,975 birdies made, so a pledge of one cent per birdie yielded a donation of $19.75. Donations need to be made by March 21, 2018 to help us qualify for additional incentive funds!

Participate in Birdies for Charity by donating to the Woodlawn Academy for the Performing Arts. Deadline for donations is April 16, 2018!
